Stadium Classic
The annual Stadium Classic tournament was held this past weekend & records were broken all the way around. We had beautiful weather, with temperatures in the 80's. It made for optimum playing conditions bringing another record breaking score of 122 for the two day total. The winners were Jeb Buchannan & partner John Vaccaro. They beat the previous low score of 123 that was set by the Bigley brothers Robby & Bryan in 2007.

John Vacarro, Jeb Buchannan, Jimmy Mueller & Clylinski on the 11th green.

Carl Gilbert, Chris Gilbert & Mike Java on the 18th green.

"Wild" life on the course
I happened to be standing on the 12th tee this past Thurs, with camera in hand, when one of the foxes came trotting across the parking lot. I guess you could call that "being in the right place at the right time"!
They make their home over to the right of the 17th fairway & last year had six babies. I have heard numerous stories from golfers about how the fox or foxes have been known to sneak on the green & steal golf balls. In fact they have seem to have a preference for Pro V1...........they must have expensive taste!
One golfer was telling me how he missed the fairway on 17 to the left of the cart path & as he was walking up the fox came out of the woods, picked up the ball , dropped it in the fairway & then lay down near it. Almost like he was waiting for a thank you for improving his lie!

Spring flowers
Spring is a beautiful time of the year when the golf course is "coming alive" after it's winter hibernation. Some years we have to wait a little longer to see the lush green fairways, but we can always enjoy the beautiful flowering trees we have on the course.
This is what you will see when entering our parking lot...... the flowering plum trees.

These are the magnolis by the 10th & 1st tee areas.

These are the dogwoods on the 14th tee.

The weeping cherry in front of the club house.
This was taken at sunrise one morning.......such a beautiful time of day!
